Finishing our 1st work year (ended May 08) with 2 prototype projects (ValidDeal and Front3D) completed, and one (Wekebe) underway.
We are zipping into follow-up phases and looking to launch a few applications by year end.

The coming work year 08-09, we will be looking to have definite first cut of the Webtitude platform.
If possible, private beta testing should be underway towards mid 2009.

We look to launch 2 more projects in this work year, and heavy development of existing prototypes.
One of which a business widget system for small business units, the other shall be a workstreaming application with a wicked twist.

Our concurrent challenges remain
1) gather, build up talented developers especially in rich internet applications (RIA) using Flex andGrails/ Groovy
2) establish collaborations with industry partners, open source communities
3) gain industry profile via membership and engagement

No Customization

In business (and life), there are bound to have needs to customize.
No 2 business are exactly alike, there's no single silver bullet.

But customized software are crippling the world, most custom apps can't scale, it's repeating the wheel, and repeating it badly.
The ability to build on (mash together) existing work and having an approach to do it systematically.

Giving the general non-IT power to build application mash-ups is a critical step towards this.

Business users shall be able to enjoy access to fresh, accurate data concisely and interactively, any time, on mobile phones, web readers etc.
Access shouldn't be tied to just ordinary PCs using a full-screen browser.

By 2010, almost everyone should be a knowledge worker- lets start tilting the Web towards these ends.

Collaborative tools like wikis (famously Wikipedia) and user-driven tagging (Digg) has already evidently shown the power of the crowd - it need not be a mob - organizations and businesses are also mini-webs.

While semantic searches like PowerSet and Hakia are underway (compared to blind text-based searches or multi-engine search) - however, semantic technology stretches beyond just searching of data and information.
Just think ,this Wetpaint wiki is itself also a form of semantic organization of information *~8-)

Let's use the Web with a capital W.

We are a workshop looking into the R&D of semantic web applications, we have a number of Web projects undergoing hearty development.
